The assistance unit is responsible for investigating, assessing, and deciding on services according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and works based on the Individual's Needs in Center (IBIC). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social welfare officer, you are a central part of the social administration's work to ensure support for the elderly. You will, among other things:

inform citizens about services and regulations
investigate, assess, and decide on services according to the Social Services Act and follow up on the services.
conduct home visits and maintain close dialogue with individuals in need of support and their relatives.
collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in and commitment to helping and supporting elderly people. As a person, you are good at collaborating with others, can plan and structure your work, and are analytical and able to make well-founded assessments based on information and regulations. Furthermore, you should have:

a degree in social work or another university/college education that the employer deems equivalent
experience in public authority operations
good Swedish, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have experience with the relevant legislation, processing within elderly care (SoL), the documentation system Combine, and a Swedish B driver's license.
